Shirley Jean Hillmar
Shirley Jean Hillmar, 85, of Anderson Road, New Wilmington, passed away March 9, 2020, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born Sept. 26, 1934, in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Gaylord Eppinger and Erla Bingham Eppinger. She married Bud Hillmar on Sept. 15, 1955.
Shirley was a wonderful homemaker, and her kitchen was always open to family, friends, and visitors at the farm. She helped on the family dairy farm and enjoyed planting flowers and tending to the garden.
Her greatest love of all was her family. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Shirley was a graduate of East Lawrence High School.
She was a member of Plain Grove Presbyterian Church for over 50 years and regularly attended Neshannock Presbyterian Church in New Wilmington.
Survivors include her husband, Bud, of the residence; a son, Brian Hillmar of Wilmington Township; two daughters: Brenda (Rob) McKissick, Scott Township, and Barb (Dave) Smith of Volant; and nine grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents; daughter Beverly Hillmar Riddle and a son-in-law, Larry Riddle; and her brother, Jack Eppinger.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Plain Grove Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services: 11 a.m. Thursday (3-12-20) at Plain Grove Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. F. Stanley Keehlwetter officiating.
Interment: South Plain Grove Cemetery, Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County.
