Rick  Hall
Rick L. Hall, 63, of Stoneboro, passed peacefully on Monday morning (Nov. 11, 2019) at home, following a courageous six-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.
Rick was born on Nov. 25, 1955, in Grove City, to Jack L. Hall and Alyce Mae Davis Hall.
He married Cheryl "Cheri" Wargo; she survives at home.
Rick was raised in Grove City and was a 1974 graduate of Grove City High School.
He was the owner of Hall's Safety Equipment since 1984, a third-generation business that began in 1946. He also owned and operated Big Daddy's Speed Center.
Rick raced big block modified race cars for more than 40 years. His home track was Mercer Raceway, a place where he enjoyed spending his time. He was active with BRP Modified Tour and served as a board member and former race director. In recent years Rick also raced vintage dirt modified cars.
He was an avid golfer since high school. Rick spent his winters in Bradenton, Fla., where he enjoyed playing competitive shuffleboard and recently earned pro status.
In addition to his wife, Cheri, Rick is survived by: a son, Ryan Hall, Grove City; his mother, Alyce Mae Hall, Grove City; his father, Jack "Skinny" Hall and wife, Bonnie, Mercer; and a brother, Jim Hall.
His grandparents, George and Grace Davis and Francis and Evelyn Hall, preceded Rick in death.

Calling hours: 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (11-14-19) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, INC., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
Funeral: Private, for immediate family, at 11 a.m. Friday (11-15-19) the funeral home, officiated by Chaplin Bill Beck.
Burial: Crestview Memorial Park, Inc., Grove City, following the service.
