Joan P. Coyer Obituary
Grove City, Pennsylvania - Joan P. Coyer, 86, of Grove City, passed away on Sunday morning, Feb. 1, 2026, following a lengthy illness.
Joan was born in Grove City on July 14, 1939, to Vern F. and Betha (Daniels) Palmer. She married Robert "Bob" H. Coyer in September of 1956. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2020.
Joan was a member of Tower Presbyterian Church and she was a graduate of Grove City High School in 1957.
Joan retired from Grove City College where she worked in housekeeping for over 30 years.
She was a member of Grove City Junior Women's Club, Grove City B.P.W. and Springfield Township Republican Women.
Joan is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Ed) Altman, Mercer, and Robin (Don) McKnight, Grove City; three grandchildren, Robert McKnight, Lacey (Tyler) Carlson, Tanner McKnight; and a brother Raymond Palmer, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Terry Verez.
